Crockpot Baked Ziti

– 1 tablespoon olive oil – ▢1 pound Italian sausage casings removed – ▢½ onion chopped – ▢3 cloves garlic minced – ▢1 teaspoon Italian seasoning – ▢36 ounces marinara sauce (1½ jars) – ▢1½ cups low-sodium beef broth – ▢1 pound dry ziti pasta (1 box) – ▢1 cup ricotta cheese – ▢2 cups mozzarella cheese

Ingredients

Heat the olive oil. Place a big skillet or Dutch oven over medium-low heat and add the olive oil.

Cook Sausage: Put the Italian sausage in the pan once the oil is hot. Cut the sausage up with a wooden spoon. When the banger is fully cooked and no longer pink, brown it and stir it every so often.

Add Flavours and Aromatics: Chop the onion and garlic and mix them with Italian seasoning in the pan where the sausage is cooking. The garlic should smell good and the onions should be soft and clear.

Add Sauce: Pour the beef broth and marinara sauce over the sausage mixture that has been cooking in the pan. Stir everything together until it's well mixed

Prepare the crockpot by spraying it with cooking spray that doesn't stick to keep food from sticking.
