Homemade Sausage Gravy with Biscuits

In a large pan, add the sausage in small pieces and cook on medium heat.  This will make it cook quickly.

If needed chop the sausage to make it into smaller pieces, do that.

Once the sausage is cooked, slowly add the flour in stirring often, until it's incorporated. Add the milk, salt and pepper.

Allow to cook together. Remove from heat and allow to thicken. You can stir once in a while. It will thicken as it cools.

Serve on top of your biscuits. Part of our family cuts them in half, the other breaks the biscuits into bite size pieces.

Pour the gravy over your homemade buttermilk biscuits.
