Sweet Potato Dog Treats

– 1 cup cooked mashed sweet potatoes – ▢2 eggs – ▢1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce – ▢2 1/2 cups whole wheat flour plus more for rolling dough

Ingredients

Warm the oven up to 175°F (350°F). Put parchment paper or a little oil on a baking sheet and line it with it. Put away.

Put the eggs, unsweetened applesauce, and mashed sweet potatoes in a bowl and mix them together. Mix well until everything is well mixed.

Mix the whole wheat flour into the sweet potato mixture slowly while stirring it in. Do this until a stiff dough forms. You can use your hands to knead the dough together if it is too stiff to mix with a spoon.

Split the dough in half, making two equal parts. Put one piece on a surface that has been dusted with more flour. Roll the dough out until it's about 1/8 inch thick with a rolling pin.

Cut the rolled dough into shapes with cookie cutters. Put the forms that you cut out on the baking sheet that has been prepared. Do this again with the rest of the dough.

Take the treats out of the oven and heat it up. Bake them for 35 to 40 minutes, or until they are dry and crispy.
